Motivation for building LaWiz
I had some simple yet personal motivations for building LaWiz. I love to learn languages, and many members of my family speak Punjabi, but I don’t. Similarly, many of my friends speak Tamil, but I don’t. I wanted to learn both of these languages, and for me, the best way to learn a language is to first get familiar with and understand the writing system. This foundation helps me learn words, sentences, and phrases more effectively. That’s why I created an app for myself that I use extensively to learn the Tamil and Punjabi writing systems. In the future, I plan to add Russian and Greek when I start learning them.
Features
LaWiz is a language learning app designed to help users master the writing systems of different languages. It presents each character as a multiple-choice question (MCQ) with four options. The app shows the characters and provides options for the sound each character makes in the user’s native language, making it an engaging and effective way to learn.
